Living a contemplative life is not easy in our contemporary society.  That’s why retreats can be a restorative practice, giving deep time in God’s presence nestled in community with silence, stillness, and serenity.

Consider this a rendezvous of availability with God*, a place to let go of all ‘doing’ and relax in to ‘being’.

Centering prayer sits will be offered back-to-back at the top or half hour of each hour from 7-7:30am, 9-11:30am and 2-5pm.  You are encouraged to attend as many sits as you feel comfortable.

SBC is a beautiful setting with hotel-like accommodations.  Private rooms, all meals and programing are provided. The grounds provide space for walking and connecting with nature, Stations of the Cross, a labyrinth and art to contemplate.

It is suggested you have a least a 6-month Centering Prayer practice and attendance at a couple of 3-day silent retreats (or longer) as a prerequisite to attend an 8-day retreat.
