Welcoming Prayer workshop

Saturday, January, 19 from 9am-12 noon

Westwood Church
13056 Atwood Ave. Omaha NE 68144 (2 blocks south of 132 and Center)

The Welcoming Prayer is a method of consenting to God’s presence and action in our physical and emotional reactions to events and situations in daily life. The purpose of the Welcoming Prayer is to deepen our relationship with God through consenting in the ordinary activities of our day. This practice supports your Centering Prayer practice during the other 23 hours of the day.

Welcoming Prayer helps to dismantle the emotional programs of the false-self system and to heal the wounds of a lifetime by addressing them where they are stored — in the body. It contributes to the process of transformation in Christ initiated in Centering Prayer. This workshop will offer understanding for the foundations of prayer, practice the prayer and come away with a discipline that will aide consenting on-the-go.

Check-in begins at 8:45am. Please bring a small snack to share.

Registration $25.00
We also highly recommend the Welcoming Prayer praxis book. This is available for an additional $20 and must be ordered with your registration.
